The House

When planning Waitby School, we aimed to anticipate each and every need of our guests, from the practical to the luxurious. The practical encompasses the boot room with sink, the kitchen and its vast range of equipment, the wood burning stove and the safe, enclosed garden. On the comfort side, we have our leather sofas and soft furnishings, our library and entertainment system, the beds and Egyptian cotton bedding, and the lavish bathrooms with White Company toiletries. Step outside and you might see a steam train go by on the Settle-Carlisle Railway, or lambs in the field opposite. There are many beautiful walks right outside the front door. And, of course, each window in the house frames an ever-changing view…

Please note that as we update our furniture and soft furnishings on a regular basis (put simply, they wear out and we want to keep the house perfect!) some of these pictures may not be of the exact furniture or soft furnishings currently in use because the old ones needed replacing. It can be hard to find availability to take photos of the constantly improving décor, as the cottage is very well booked... But, our promise is that we always upgrade, never downgrade, and are constantly looking to make your stay even more comfortable.
